Hey guys! December was a great month for me, I got to see my family and I got some free time to read! So, this past month I read a total of 5 books!
1.The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory. I was kind of disappointed that I didn’t like this book a much as I was hoping to. Rating: 3 stars
2. City of brass by S.A. Chakraborty. This book was incredible. Not only the magic, the characters, the world and the folklore in the story are top notch, but I think what makes this book truly remarkable is the complexity of the political system. There is no clear right or wrong, no good or bad because we have two completely different point of views where we get to see the whole picture and it helps us understand all the different perspectives. There is no clear answer to who is good and who is bad in this story, and I love it! Rating: 4.5
3. Kulti by Mariana Zapata. I’ve talked about this book so much recently I’m just going to shut up now and leave my review here. Rating: 5 stars
4. Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a long time and now that I have I understand why it was such a hype. Kaur’s poems are raw and I think a lot of people could relate to her writing and her emotions. Rating: 4 stars.
5. The Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. I can summarize this book in one word: Charming. The story, the characters, everything. It filled my heart and it made me incredibly happy to read this story, especially during the holiday season. Rating: 5 stars
Happy New Year everyone!
Thanks for reading!
