Book series I’m not going to finish

Hey guys! I have a huge tendency of starting books and not keeping up with the series either because I didn’t like the first book or because I just never got around to reading the last book. Although most of the time I’m really good at finishing series or at least have the intention of finishing them this is a list of the series I don’t plan on finishing.

The Royals by Erin Watt. Although the first book was very entertaining, I found some of the situations very problematic. on top of that, I wasn’t a fan of the relationships between the main characters. It is a very addictive book, but honestly, I don’t have the energy to keep up with all the drama.

A Court of Thornes and Roses by Sarah J Mass. I read the first book because of all the hype around the series, but mostly because I bought it for 50 cents at my local library. The book is not bad, there were some parts that I did enjoy; however, there were a lot that I didn’t and I even found some a little problematic. Plus, I was not a fan of the main character Freyre I could not connect with her. All in all, I have no desire to finish the series.

The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell. This book was just boring to me, a complete waste of my time. So of course, I won’t finish the series.

The School of Good and Evil by Soma Chainani. This is actually a really good middle-grade series super entertaining, action-packed, friendship based and with some cute romance. I always recommend it to kids at my job as a bookseller. However, the only reason why I never finished it is because I never got around to reading the third book and now the author released a spin-off and frankly I’m intimidated by the size of the books. Plus, it’s been two years since I’ve read them, and I don’t see the point of it.

To All the boys I’ve loved before by Jenny Han. I loved the first book, I really did, I even reread the first book before I read the second one Ps. I still Love you, but that’s where I stopped because I found Lara Jean’s indecision very immature and annoying and I just didn’t want to want to deal with it.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. Maybe I’ve been reading books for way too long because this honestly felt like a bunch of different storylines from other more popular books combined into in one book. Plus, I’ve heard a lot of people complaining about it and I’m not about to waste my time finishing it.

Maggie Hope Mystery by Susan Elia MacNeal. I read 4 books from the Maggie Hope series before I called it quits. I did it more for personal reasons than because I had any issues with the books. Personally, I don’t like watching movies or reading books set during WW I or WW II because I feel a lot of pain for the characters since I know most of what they go through in the movies/books was real. The series is fantastic, I just don’t have the heart to keep reading it.

That’s it from me! Comment below that series you won’t be finishing reading.

Thank you for reading!
