Hey guys! I know I’m like a month late to this tag, but I really wanted to do it, so here I am. I’m not sure who created this tag, so I cant give credit to the creator. If you know them please tag them! Now let’s get into it.
1.Best book you’ve read so far in 2019
Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson. This was a fantastic conclusion to the series, and I couldn’t expect any less from Brandon Sanderson. He is such a great world builder. Something that surprised me was that he has a way to present the most hopeless of situations but at the same time still give you a little bit of hope that maybe, just maybe everything will turn out okay.
2. Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2019
The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson. I’ve only read two sequels so far and one of them sucked so here we have Brandon Sanderson again.
3. New release you haven’t read yet but want to
99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne. I’ve been waiting for this book since I read The Hating Game and LOVED it, so yeah I’m very disappointed at myself for not reading this book.
4. Most anticipated releases for the second half of the year
Tbh all of the books I was looking forward to this year, have already been released.
5. Biggest disappointment
Sadly, I’ve had many disappointments this year, but I guess the biggest ones were:
6. Biggest surprise
Fight or Flight by Samantha Young. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this book; I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did.
7. Favorite new author
Brandon Sanderson. Hands down
8. Favorite new crush
I don’t think I’ve read about anyone that has swept me off my feet, so no one so far. Hopefully in the second half of the year?
9. Favorite new characters
A few months ago, I watched the entire Avatar: The Last Airbender series and then read some of the comics, so I would definitely say the Avatar Team
10. Books that made you cry
Circe by Madeline Miller. I didn’t think I would cry reading this book, nevertheless there I was in the middle of the night bawling my eyes out. My heart still hurts a little.
11. A book that made you happy
Irresistibly Yours by Lauren Layne. You could not take out the smile I had on my face while I was reading this. It’s so cheesy and romantic.
12. Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling Hufflepuff edition. I bought this baby when I was in Scotland
13. What books do you need to read before the end of the year?
Way too many. I thought I would read so much during the summer, but clearly, that is not happening. I’m on the waiting list for so many books at my library it’s ridiculous, but I guess the ones that I am most excited about are:
Thank you guys for reading!
