JULY WRAP UP

Hi guys! I’m still amazed by the number of books I’m able to read each month; I’m truly living my best bookworm life thanks to this quarantine (at least something good had to come out of it). This month I read 6 books:

Beach Read by Emily Henry. This book was so much fun! I loved the chemistry between the two main characters and the heroine’s, journey of through grief.  Rating: 4 stars

Hands Down by Mariana Zapata. Another amazing Marina Zapata book. This was so stinking cute; I loved every second of it! Bianca’s and Zach’s friendship is so pure and wholesome, it filled my heart with happiness. Rating: 5 stars.

Here’s to Looking at You by Mhairi McFarlane. This is now one of my favorite books of all time! I adored everything in this book, the characters, the writing, the plot, everything! Rating 5 stars.

Don’t You Forget About Me by Mhairi McFarlane. This is a coming of age story about a woman that hits rock bottom and is trying to figure out what she wants from her life, as well as rebuild it. Peppered with McFarlane’s amazing writing and humor this was a beautiful story. Rating: 4 stars.

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. First of all, look at that gorgeous cover, wow. This was the first Gothic/Horror book I’ve ever read and I’m glad to report I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story is so twisted and unpredictable, it had me full of anxiety. I loved the main character, Noemi, she’s so relentless, smart and resourceful. Rating: 5 stars

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. How cute this book was you ask me? EXTREMELY. I loved seeing Red, the hero, pining over Chloe, it made me wish for someone to love me as much as he loved her. Additionally, it was very rewarding seeing both main characters acknowledge and work on their issues/baggage to be better for each other. Rating: 5 stars.

Thank you for reading!
