Books that Should be Adapted into Movies/Shows

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I’m really excited for today’s topic: Books that Should be Adapted into Netflix Shows/Movies

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Can you tell I’m obsessed with this book? How can I not be? This is such an intriguing book and I’m so happy that is been already optioned as a Hulu TV series.

Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Another fantastic book by Silvia. I swear, if done right, this would be such a visually pleasing movie/series if it ever came to life.

The Heist (Fox and O’Hare series) by Janet Evanovich. This is such a fun book series, it could definitely be a TV series.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo. There is so much going on in this book, it has definitely got be a series.

The Mirror Visitor Quartet by Christelle Dabos. This series has such an amazing and interesting world, I would love to see it become a movie series.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I know it has already been made into a movie, but I so sad when it bombed, and they didn’t make a sequel or anything. Plus, fifteen-year-old me would never forgive me if I don’t put this series in the list. It was such a big part of my adolescence if they ever retried with a TV series or anything I would faithfully watch it.

The Daevabad trilogy by S.A Chakraborty. I think this would be a great replacement for all the Game of Thrones fans with nothing to watch. It’s such a political complex series with an amazing world I believe it would be an instant hit.

The Wrath and the Dawn series by Renee Ahdieh. Wow, such an amazing series with so much potential to become a movie series. Hopefully one day?

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. This is one of my favorite series of all time and I would love to see it in a TV/Movie series.

Warcross series by Marie Lu. Even when I read this series, I knew it would shine if it ever became an actual movie or TV series.
